A list of happiness

There's this thing I'm doing when I'm not in the best mood. It's actually a few things.
I have a list of things that make me happy. And I use them when needed.
They don't have to be big ones, sometimes the smallest things can do a lot...!

Things that make me happy....
* percussion
* smiling
* birds (singing, flying, bathing)
* the sky
* confetti
* singing
* the stars
* Vivaldi's "Summer"
* raspberry red
* drawing
* taking photographs
* snowglobes
* taking notes

"Fuck you!"

To the best person in the world,
who one day woke up and realised
she should have said it ages ago....

How many times you thought of this phrase and you never said it to the person standing in front of you?

Let's be honest...some people deserve it. The way they act, they way they treat others sometimes or some things they say.... and you're standind there speechless looking at them and thinking "fuck you!". You never say it. Afterwards you think about it for hours and days.

It's ok, it's hard to say to someone "fuck you" straigth to their face. Still, there are other ways to say it....
keep your distance from them, give them the answer they expect the least next time, use it as inspiration to create art or write something, live your best life miles away from them or let time pass....sometimes the "fuck you" comes on its own! It really does!

"I once was......"

Today, stays still.....
but there was a time when this was filled with water and all around people were dancing, with sparkly clothes and drinks on their hands!
And music was playing, while the summer breeze was making their hair fly!

A bucket list (with no money)

A bucket list is a list of things that you suppose to be before you die.
But there are alternative versions as well, maybe a summer bucket list or just a bucket list that will help you do some things to spice up your every day life.
Recently I made my own, with a bunch of "trinkety" things I would like to do in this period of my life. What's special about it is that it consists of things that need no money to be done!
After all, they say that best things in life come for free, aren't they....?!

* Dance in the rain.
* Sing in public (not perform, for example sing while you're having coffee with friends on a cafe).
* Meditate in nature.
* Have a great-great laugh.
* Smile to a stranger.
* Scream! (done!)
* Watch 12 classic movies.
* Create a confetti rain and stand under it (done!).
* Gaze at the stars one night.
* Watch the rain.
* Spend a weekend morning watching cartoons.
* Have a fork to comb my hair (like Ariel did, also done).
* One day, have breakfast while watching the sun rising...(done!)
*...and another day, have dinner while watching the sun setting!
* Do a "grown-up thing", for example start saving money.
* Discover a new song I like very much, each day, for a week!

3 years of "Daily Art by Angelina"!

Three years ago, on June 26th (like today) I opened my "Daily Art by Angelina" shop on Etsy.
The first items I uploaded for sell were a bunch of statement necklaces and earrings made of Pyssla beads. Liquid glass, more beads, cartoon patterns, lots of felt, vintage button and a great amount of tulle were the next things to come for "Daily".

The basic thought of opening my shop was to see if I could sell the things I was creating. And I chose the name "Daily Art" because I had set the goal that one day I would be able to add more of my art and crafts on my shop (drawings, photography,etc).

Having "Daily" has been very educating, helped me mature as a personality, made me even more creative and has given me many moments of happiness (oh, the great feeling you have when someone has chosen to buy an item you made). Of course, running a small business isn't easy (at all) and there are nights of bad sleep, moments and days of anxiety.

Recently I took the next step and added photography prints, collages and drawings to my shop and it feels very nice to look at it and see my goal becoming reality!

"Daily" is something I created from scratch, and today is in its best version so far, thanks to hard work, my customers and all the people that helped and keep helping along the way (thank you so much!!).

So, let's celebrate today and go on waiting (and working) for the great things to come!

A quote

I love this quote from "Mulan"!
So, I made this using as base an image from fanpop.com.

Photo of the day!

The interesting contrast of a knife between a bunch of colorful trinkets!
It's actually part of a new project I'm working on, that has to do with painting, collage and a bit of experimenting with...rage.

Stars inside a bracelet!

How would you feel about a bracelet with the stars of the sky inside it...?

This is the first piece of the new Daily Art by Angelina collection.
Tulle outside and star confetti on the inside.
Microcosms inside a bracelet!

Open

There are these moments in life that you're so open to the world around you.

Yesterday noon I took my book and my mp3 player and sat on a spot in my garden, where I used to play  "Romeo and Juliet" when I was little.
 I ended up looking around instead of reading, but everything was just perfect! Sun, wind, birds and clouds in the sky, some of my dogs sleeping around me and music.

There are these moments in life when you feel so open to your surroundings, you feel the wind blowing your insides, the birds flying inside your mind....

....a kind of happiness.

* The photos are taken a little bit later that the sun was faint.
